The Taste of Life

Isn't it funny how much of our lives revolve around food.  I must start by saying that I am indeed a total "foodie", I love to cook a great and fun meal from scratch and then serve it up to our family and friends.  It is amazing to me how much of our packing involved food items or kitchen items used to make food.  The kitchen is truly the center of our home.

We spent time planning what kind of food we should bring with us reading blogs and getting advice from some new friends we met in September when we went to Singapore.  We spent time cleaning out the freezer and being very creative with what our meals were, we gave food to family, we gave more food to friends and just how did we get three, yes three unopened bottles of mustard?  I don't even like mustard.  I am writing this blog from the new Jitter Beanz Coffee Haus in our small town, they opened just in time for us to move, it is a great place for one last date with Scott and I am really enjoying this pumpkin spiced muffin.

We have noticed this last week that we as a family are saying "this is the last....." gallon of milk, cheese sandwich, pumpkin muffin etc...  again revolving around food.  What do we eat when we get there?  Where do we eat when we get there?  Will we like the food and just how does a "steam microwave" work?  All questions we will very soon find the answer to, tomorrow is our last day in the U.S.A.. We will soon be off to experience a whole new taste of life in a new country with new customs.  Keegan and I are excited to be able to learn a new way to cook.  Come on over and see us and we will cook you up something great.
