As I was enjoying the sunrise over Lake Michigan from my couch this morning I was thinking of all the changes that are coming for our family. It struck me that every sunrise, every new thing in our lives are different but beautiful at the same time. Each sunset is the close to what is and yet the beginning of what is to come. This is a great analogy for how I am feeling now, we are approaching a big sunset and entering a beautiful sunrise.
It is cool to watch the sun rise over the lake and it is different in the different seasons of the year. Yet it is constant, the old goes, the new comes and then we do it all over again.
Scott and I are about to leave for our apartment hunting trip tomorrow morning, a new sunrise for us. It will be my first time in Singapore. I feel a bit like I know some of what to expect but just as with every sunrise I am sure there will be some surprises along the way and as the sunset sets in we will look forward to our next sunrise.
With Singapore being about 200 miles south of the equator, the days are pretty even over there approximately 12 hours of light and 12 hours of dark every day.
